Our Team

Cape Breton University is exploring how social enterprise models can help address South Sudan's high child and maternal mortality rates. Working with BRAC, the South Sudan Ministry of Health and other international partners, we are researching novel social enterprise approaches for mobilizing community health workers to deliver basic primary health care, medicines and healthcare knowledge to vulnerable populations.

This Project is being carried out with a grant from the Innovating for Maternal and Child Health in Africa initiative, co-funded by Global Affairs Canada, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC).
